基本简介
蒋树声,男,1940年4月出生于江苏省,1963年毕业于南京大学物理系, 国家级有突出贡献中青年专家,教授,博士生导师。曾任南京大学校长。1963.8-1979.8在南京大学物理系任助教、讲师,1979.9-1982.1在英国布里斯托尔大学任访问研究中员,1982.2-1986.2在南京大学物理系任讲师、副教授,1986.3-1987.8在英国达勒姆大学任访问研究员,1987.9-1990.11在南京大学物理系任副教授,1990.12在南京大学物理系任教授,1991.5-1992.1在澳大利亚悉尼大学任访问教授,1993.2-1993.7在澳大利亚悉尼大学任访问教授,1995.9-1995.12在意大利科学院MASPEC研究所任访问教授。1964任中国物理学会会员,1993任中国晶体学会会员《现代物理知识》编委,1997任《中国物理快报》编委,1983-1986任南京大学物理系晶体物理教研室主任,1988-1991任南京大学固体微结构实验室副主任,1993-1996任南京大学物理系主任,1996-1997任南京大学副校长,1997-2006年任南京大学校长。2006年起任民盟中央主席,2008年起任全国人大常委会副委员长。
研究方向:
X-射线衍射和形貌学,X-射线衍射动力学理论,晶体与薄膜材料的微结构、缺陷和相变,同步辐射的应用,周期性和准周期性金属超晶格,磁性薄膜的层间交换藕合与巨磁阻效应。

学术经历
蒋树声教授,江苏无锡人,1940年生。1958年被保送进南京大学物理系学习,1963年毕业留校任,从事教学和凝聚态物理的研究工作。多年来,在X射线衍射动力学、金属中的内耗、晶体缺陷和畴构、金属多层膜的微结构和物理性能、同步辐射在凝聚态物理中的应用等方面,取得了丰硕的研究成,绩卓著,建树甚多,在国内荣获多项国家、部、省级奖励,在国际上也产生了较大影响。
早在1963年刚留校不久,蒋树声便在中科院院士王业宁教授的指导下,从事金属中内耗的研究。64年在王业宁教授指导下,创造性地完成了“三级组合振子压电内耗仪”的试制工作。同年送北京参,荣国家科委、国家经委、国家计委颁发的“国家新产品三等奖”。同时利用这台仪器测量了钼单晶中的位错耗,并初次在“中国科学”和“物理学报”发表了二篇学术论文。1966年,又完成了“低温扭摆内耗仪”的试工作。正当他用这台自制的仪器开展锰铜合金中的低温内耗研究时,因受到了“文化大革”的冲击,研究作被迫中断。
自1973年起,由于工作需要,调入“X光衍射实验室”工作,师从中科院院士冯端教授。在十分艰苦条件下,蒋树声和几位教师一起,白手起家,自制了一台“X射线发生器”,又从一研究所无偿调拨进一“X光衍射仪”,在相当长的时期里,这两台仪器在教学和科研中发挥了重要的作用。与此同时,蒋树在冯端教授的指导下,开始学习和钻研“X射线衍射动力学理论”,为今后在X射线衍射领域的研究工作打了深厚的基础。并利用业余时间,自学第二外语(英语,第一外语为俄语)。
1978年,我国正式对外开放,蒋树声通过了校级的出国选拔考试和全国统考,于1979年赴英国ristol大学物理系深造。师从英国皇家学会会员,著名的物理学家A. R. Lang教授。这是一位学识渊博、学严谨的大师。他一方面对蒋树声要求十分严格,甚至达到了苛刻的地步,但另一方面,由于蒋树声良的物理基础和动手能力,他暗暗地为蒋树声申请了“Fellowship”,直到校长正式通知蒋树声为Bristol大学“Research Fellow”时,才惊喜地明白导师的为人。通过二年多的严格训练和刻苦钻研,蒋树声和Lang授一起完成了三项研究工作。其中二项是关于金刚石晶体中层错的动力学衍射,另一项是关于SiC晶体生长缺陷问题。这三项工作分别发表在Proc. Roy. Soc, Phil. Mag.和J. Cryst.Growth上。这三篇论文,在际上产生了较大的影响,后来被国际学术界同行广泛地加以引用。
自1982年从英国回国以后,蒋树声开始从事繁重的科研和教学工作。在科研方面继续从事有关晶中面缺陷的研究工作,在金刚石晶体中的层错和石英晶体中的孪晶界面的动力学衍射方面取得了突破性进展。英国著名物理学家B. K. Tanner教授来南京大学进行学术访问后,写信给冯端教授,对蒋树声的研成果作了很高评价。直至近年,在国际晶体学会举办的一次讲习班(意大利, 西西里, 1996)上,该工作还被引为X射线貌相领域的一个经典,并把其中的一幅形貌照片用作了出版专集的封面。1986年,树声再次应邀赴英。作为“Research Fellow”,在英国Durham大学工作一年半。在这期间,定期地去英国名的同步辐射Daresbury实验室做实验,并首次用同步辐射技术观察到了非线性光学晶体铌酸钡钠中铁畴界并完成了相变点附近的变温动态实验,取得了不少有意义的成果,也为今后回国在我国自行设计制的北京正负电子对撞机同步辐射光源上开展第一批凝聚态物理实验工作积累了宝贵经验和开拓了方向。1987年回国以后,蒋树声担任了固体微结构物理国家重点实验室常务付主任,进行日常的管理工。1988年国家科委和国家计划对全国的国家重点实验室进行了首次评估,在冯端先生的领导下,经集体的努力,南京大学固体微结构实验室取得全国第一的好成绩。与此同时,他的研究方向也逐步拓。随着北京同步辐射装置的投入使用,蒋树声教授一方面将同步辐射技术用来研究铁电和铁弹晶体中的畴构以及相变过程中的动力学行为,取得了丰硕的成果。另一方面,与胡安教授合作研究周期和准周期金多层膜的制备、微结构和物理性能。在国际著名杂志如Phys.Rev.B、Appl. Phys. Lett、J. Appl. Phys.上表了一系列重要文章,在国际上产生了较大影响。于1991年和1993年两次应澳大利亚Sydney大.J.H.Cockayne教授的邀请,作为“Visiting Professor”进行合作研究共一年多,利用TEM和X光技术,在金属多层膜的微结构研究中取得了不少重要的结果,Cockayne教授为此专门给冯端教授写信,作了非常的评价。1993年蒋树声教授还应台湾新竹同步辐射研究中心的邀请,率领我国同步辐射专家访问团在台进行了短期的讲学和学术交流。
从1993年下半年开始,蒋树声教授担任南京大学物理系系主任。在担任系主任期间,党政密切配,上下团结一心,在教学、科研、学科建设、科技开发等方面,在原有的基础上又有了较大的发展。国的“Nature”和美国的“Science”等杂志分别在1995年的第十一期和第十二期对南京大学物理系和固体微构物理国家重点实验室作了专门报道并给予很高的评价。1995年下半年,蒋树声教授又应意大利科学院MASPEC研究所的邀请,作为“Visiting Professor”进行作研究四个月。利用“阴极射线发光”和“X射线双晶衍射”技术,深入地研究了InGaAs/GaAs半导体薄膜材中的错配位错,并在国际著名杂志上发表了三篇重要的学术论文。1996年五月蒋树声教授被任命为南京大学付校长,1997年四月起担任南京大学校长。
迄今为止(1997年10月),蒋树声共主持国家自然基金五项、博士点基金二项,共发表学术论文60余篇,其中110篇为SCI论文。先后赴美国、加拿大、英国、日本等国参加国际会议十三次,其中三作了特邀报告。先后荣获一项国家自然科学三等奖、二项江苏省科技进步一等奖,以及国家教委科技进二等奖和三等奖各一项。1992年被国务院人事部评为“国家级有突出贡献的中青年专家”。1997年被江省评为“333工程第一层次培养对象”。曾先后任复旦大学和无锡轻工大学兼职教授,中国科大“结构分析家重点实验室”学术委员。现任中国物理学会理事和中国晶体学会理事,“中国物理快报”编委和“现代物知识”编委。江苏省高校教师职称高评委主任、南京大学学位委员会主席。
